Valerian Swing are an Italian three-piece who have made a name for themselves with their boundary-pushing, innovative musical output.

Drawing from contemporary jazz and film music, math rock and electronica, the group played hundreds of shows around the globe including festivals like SXSW in Austin (US), ArcTanGent in Bristol (UK), Bahamas Fest in Tokyo, A Colossal Weekend in Copenhagen and have shared stages with bands in the caliber of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Russian Circles, Boris, Deafheaven and And So I Watch You From Afar.

Their upcoming album, “Liminal” (2024), pushes their experimentation and integration to a new level. This ambitious record spans much of the contemporary music landscape, placing them alongside artists like GoGo Penguin, Badbadnotgood, Floating Points and Jon Hopkins.

Take their collaboration with Grammy award-winning artist Flowdan on Badman (Ting), which perfectly balances a dream pop shuffle beat over a moody synth line. Such ambition and eclecticism has certainly paid off, as “Liminal” positions Valerian Swing as one of the most exciting contemporary acts in Europe.
