Founded in 2022, HANRY is a French five-piece blending post-rock with elements of
shoegaze, electronica and trip-hop. The band develops immersive soundscapes built on
contrast, where atmospheric layers and airy textures interact with powerful guitars and
hypnotic rhythms.
Their cinematic yet organic approach may recall artists such as Explosions in the Sky, Boards of Canada and Massive Attack, while maintaining a distinct and contemporary identity.
What Came From Silence, the band’s debut full-length album, was released this year on May 29 and represents a new step in HANRY’s development. Conceived as a cohesive and immersive body of work,
the album explores themes of tension, silence and transformation. It reflects a band refining its songwriting and sonic identity, crafting dense and nuanced music where contemplation, electronic pulses and post-rock climaxes coexist.
On stage, HANRY delivers an immersive experience where power, emotion and cinematic atmospheres converge. The band notably performed at the TransMusicales Festival in Rennes in front of more
than 3,000 attendees, with the concert broadcast on French national television.
During the festival, HANRY was also invited to record a live session for KEXP, one of the world’s leading platforms for discovering independent music.
