Originally formed in early 2002 by S. Smerte and Hellpig, both active in the extreme metal underground since the early nineties. Shortly after the conception, Harm joined and the core of the cult was complete. With the addition of Haxen in 2013, an unholy covenant was made, which persists and to this day.

Firmly rooted in black metal, but developing from album to album, Horned Almighty has never been confined to any musical boundaries. Adding elements, such as thrash, doom and even punk reveal the span of musical endeavors throughout their existence. One thing common, the music has always intentionally been written to destroy all boundaries on stage, to crush all doctrines and rules within the genre. This formula is the main key as to why the band now celebrates more than twenty years of complete utter darkness and malicious mockery!

On stage too Horned Almighty has proven their worth and has played many live rituals and festivals in Denmark, such as Copenhell. Also abroad, at United Metal Maniacs Germany, Inferno Festival Norway amongst others and completing a European tour with french Glorior Belli as well
